On Thursday November 12, 2015, Napa County Historical Society honored extraordinary leaders, past and present, who made significant contributions to our legendary hospitality in our 1st Annual Napa Valley Lodging Industry Hall of Fame Ceremony. The event, graciously hosted by Silverado Resort and Spa, celebrated the contributions of historic pillars of the valley’s lodging industry: Sam Brannan of Calistoga Hot Springs, Colonel J. P. Jackson of Napa Soda Springs, Len D. Owens of Aetna Springs Resort, Swen (or Sven) Alstrom of White Sulphur Springs and the Windsor Hotel, and Owen Kenny of the Hotel Calistoga. Jim Treadway of Bardessono, Shelley Post of Four Sisters Inns, Mark Harmon of Auberge Resorts, Harry Price of Napa River Inn, and Mark and Carolynne Wilkinson of Dr. Wilkinson’s Hot Springs Resort here given awards for their current contributions. We also gave John Evans of Silverado Resort and Spa an award congratulating the resort for it’s 60th anniversary.
Thanks to everyone involved in this exciting new event! Check out this slide show of photos from local historian and photographer Tom Spaulding.
