Kristen Harnisch’s sweeping debut novel tells the story of betrayal, retribution, and redemption played out in the Carneros District in the Napa Valley, New York City and the Loire Valley.  Based partly on research at the Napa County Historical Society, it features a feisty young heroine’s journey to determine her destiny in the midst of family tragedy, betrayal and love. The Vintner’s Daughter is the first in a series about the changing world of vineyard life at the end of the Victorian era.
