CoMMunity Organizations

As the various immigrant populations grew Napa Valley residents with shared cultural backgrounds created fraternal and sororal organizations. The Masons, Odd Fellows, German and Prussian Clubs, Knights of Columbus, Lyceum, Women’s Association, Rebekah’s, Job’s Daughters had multiple chapters across the Valley. They met regularly and helped create networks both social and economic. The clubs also helped immigrants maintain their distinctive cultural beliefs.
