“Wine Country in Shorts” with Ralph DeAmicis

As a wine tour guide, Ralph De Amicis has listened to hundreds of tasting room hosts tell stories about this region, as they poured wine for his guests. There were often multiple versions of the same stories, but when he retold them, he recognized which parts felt authentic and produced the best responses. His book, Wine Country in Shorts, are those stories he has told hundreds of times in a style which works best when you have a glass of good wine in your hand. It also includes insights into the region and its industries based on the thousands of questions guests have asked over the years. The evening will include a couple of those stories, and one ‘Insightful’ talk, and a little bit about the process of how this book came together.

Ralph and Lahni De Amicis are the authors of twenty two books in four categories, including the region’s top selling wine tour books. They have been professional speakers for thirty years and have produced the local show Wine Country at Work with Napa County TV since 2012, which has opened many interesting doors for them. www.SpaceAndTime.com.
