You are cordially invited to attend this year’s 73rd Annual Meeting on August 16th starting at 1:00 pm. This year we are honoring the life and legacy of the Coombs-Dunlap family and their place in Napa’s history. Our keynote speaker is Mr. John F. Dunlap, former NCHS Board President, California Senator and the Great Grandson of Nathan Coombs.
We are adapting our program to be online through Zoom. If this will be your first time on Zoom, “welcome to the new virtual world”. We are happy to offer technical assistance prior to this event.
We will begin with the business portion of our meeting with an introduction of Directors and installation of Officers. Our 2020-2021 Board of Directors are: Tom Spaulding, President; Dr. Sheli O. Smith, Vice President and Secretary; Margie Mohler, Treasurer; and Directors are Don Winter, Brad Wagenknecht, Scott Sedgley, Danielle Barreca, Ricky Hurtado, Rob Orr and Jim Treadway. There are no other nominations at this time though additional candidates for Director positions can be nominated by petition bearing the signatures of at least five (5) members of the Society in good standing. Such petition shall be filed with the Nominating Committee within ten (10) days after notice has been given of the names of those nominated by the Nominating Committee. The determination of the Nominating Committee as to the legality of the petition shall be final.
We hope to see you soon at our annual meeting or inside the Goodman. We are deeply grateful for your membership and ongoing support. Together we will continue our mission to discover, preserve and present the history of Napa County, even during these unprecedent and historical times.
