Education Modules

The NCHS relishes in the opportunity to work with school kids in the Napa County. Over the years our scavenger hunts have brought kids into the Goodman Library building for introductions to archives, the history of the Luther Turton building, and engaging with local history in our downstairs exhibit space. Downtown Napa and the various plaques/memorials/murals have served as an entryway to connecting the rich stories of our past to the present day landscape we might otherwise zoom past.

Our local history programs are no stranger to natural disasters or closed up buildings, and our Napa community has proven itself to be resilient in the face of the unknown. Now, while we get used to the social distancing requirements to keep our community safe, we are offering interactive activities for students/kids of all ages to research and explore Napa’s history all while positioning their own family history into the context of local history.
