Visit the grounds of the historic intersection of the Phoenix and Washington Mining Claims, incorporated in 1861. The clubhouse that houses the mining museum was built in 1925 of native timber cut and milled at Aetna Springs Resort. It originally served as the bunkhouse for male resort workers and later the golf clubhouse. In 2007 it was carefully relocated to its present location. The artifacts and displays at Aetna Township pay homage to the first mining claims in Napa County, and serve as a reminder of an important time in Pope Valley History.
This is part of an all-day event that runs from 11am to 4pm. There are no scheduled tour times. Picnic lunches are available for an additional price, or you may bring your own lunch. Guests can picnic at any of the participating Pope Valley sites.
